MABUHAY, PILIPINAS!

One of the most significant events in Philippine history is the declaration of independence. For hundreds of years, the country was colonized by a variety of nations. Imagine achieving your independence after all of your trials and tribulations. It's invaluable.

Since 1962, the 12th of June has been observed as Philippine Independence Day. The ceremony was originally scheduled for July 4, but President Diosdado Macapagal moved it to June 12 to honor Emilio Aguinaldo's declaration of independence from the Spaniards. Independence Day is an annual celebration in the Philippines that commemorates the Philippines' independence from Spain in 1898. Every year on June 12th, the Philippines celebrates its independence, which begins on May 28th and ends on June 12th.

Many individuals, including government officials, employees, and students, participate in nationwide parades on Independence Day. The primary event, though, is a police and military parade in Manila led by the country's current president, which will be followed by a speech and a 21-gun salute. A large number of Filipinos spend their days in parks and shopping centers. Many Filipino communities around the world participate in the country's Independence Day celebrations. Because people's mobility is still restricted owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, many people choose to commemorate Independence Day via online platforms.
